My client based in Leeds, Yorkshire is looking for a Linux consultant to join their existing team on some exciting projects.
Salary - £45,000 to £50,000
Start - ASAP
Location - Leeds
You will be a member of the system admin team covering the following duties:
~ Supporting a large number of Linux & Unix systems (both virtual and physical). These systems run both Solaris (up to 10) and Redhat/CentOS (Up to 6).
~ You will be supporting internal systems and also external systems remotely.
~ You will also be tasked with Linux and Unix server builds and configuration. Ideally you will not only have experience of physical servers, but also virtual ones.
In addition to the build and configuration, you will also be required to undertake general Linux and Unix server admin tasks including:-
* User admin
* Creating documentation for new servers, failover procedures and key services
* Server log checks
* Diskspace clean up
* Network support & services (FTP, HTTP, TCP/IP)
* Software updates/installs
Basic Apache tomcat and JBoss would be a bonus for my client, although if you are an experienced Linux Systems Administrator then please apply.
