You will be involved in complex software implementation projects from conceptualisation to implementation; and specifically:
- lead a project team in the analysis function
- manage the quality of the analysis, mentoring team members as required
- analyse and document business requirements
- translate functional documentation into data/ process/ technical specifications, alongside the development team
- develop tests scripts and be involved in testing
- manage customer expectations
- produce documentation of a high business reporting and technical level of professionalism
Ideally you would have the following skills and experience:
EITHER domain (insurance sector) knowledge, ideally gained in the Lloyd's and London Insurance Market, possibly as a broker or underwriter; you'd have an interest in technology and be able to transition to the role of business analyst, leveraging your business process skills (policy administration, claims, payments, settlements etc);
OR you'll be a skilled business analyst, ideally working from the vendor / consultant perspective.
You'll understand the challenges that come with delivering multiple projects, to high standards, within budget and time deadlines. The shift to the Lloyd's Market will be appealing - both in terms of the industry specialisation and the product specialisation it will offer.
My client is looking for:
*keen intellect (typically backed up with an Honours / Masters level degree attained in any of the following analytical areas: Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Business Science or Information Systems)
*experience gained in client-facing business analysis roles (consulting or vendor environments)
*experience gained from leading successful projects from scoping to delivery stages
*entrepreneurially driven : less concerned with title, duty and reporting lines and more concerned with delivering a superior solution within a team culture
*developed ability to resolve business problems and manage customer expectations
*demonstrable skills in leading a team
*ability to thrive within a demanding but rewarding environment
The above skills would typically have developed rapidly (3-5 years experience) -and you would now be looking to accelerate your BA specialism within a high-growth sector and team.
