
Java Software Engineer - Greater Manchester - £30,000 - £34,000
My client, a software house based just outside of Manchester Centre, is currently looking for 2 java developers to join there fast-paced and highly skilled development team.
The Principal Duties and Responsibilities of the candidate would be:
Responsible for the satisfactory completion of tasks set by management.Recognizes economic aspects of the job.Demonstrates professional conduct and business ethics.Designs, develops, troubleshoots, and debugs software programs for software enhancements and new projectsFollows instructions and procedures to install and integrate software solutionsContact with others is primarily internalWorks on problems of limited scope, e.g. performs changes to a single moduleResponsible for production of associated documentation e.g. Detailed Module Design, Module Test SpecificationFault fixingOccasional site visits
Additional Duties and Responsibilities
Training objectives and tasks set by manager.Receives guidance from more senior employees and management.Progress is reviewed frequently, with an evaluation, formal or informal at the end of each assignment.Uses education to contribute as a team member to solution of problems.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability Required
Entry level position for college graduates or equivalent
Requires a Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field.Assigned to on the job training program designed to provide interdisciplinary and intradisciplinary experience.Learns practical applications of education.Typically completes Level I objectives in 24 months.
Has a high level of enthusiasm for work and presents self professionally.Accepts direction from others.Asks questions to ensure understanding of projects and tasks.Able to prepare and present the results of research and analysis, verbally and in writing.Excellent communication skills required
