We are currently looking for a passionate and dynamic Level3 teaching assistant or nursery nurse with strong classroom management to work in one of our partnership community primary school's in Preston City Centre.
The ideal candidate will be confident in working across KS1 and KS2 on a 1:1 and small group basis as well as in whole class situations. You will be supporting students, delivering activities to booster children's progress and assisting the class teacher with the preparation of resources and whole class lessons.
The school has high expectations, and are looking for a teaching assistant to rise to the challenge of supporting and pushing the children in their learning, as well setting consistent standards in terms of behaviour and classroom management.
This role will be covering a recruitment period within the school, and so will require the candidate to be confident from the start and be prepared to deliver and assess in line with the latest EYFS/KS1/KS2 frameworks and SATs requirements.
There may also be the request to assist at before and after school clubs in order to maintain ratios during periods of sickness and other absences.
This is a busy and vibrant school, so the ideal teacher will be dynamic and able to react instinctively in a high paced environment. Also although the school has a very diverse pupil population they have a strong community ethos and make tolerance to others a key foundation across their school environment.
The classes are very progressive class, eager to learn and with an excellent behaviour record due to the strong strategies in place.
- Level3 Teaching Assistant/ Nursery Nurse Qualification or above
- Relevant up to date experience in UK schools
- Knowledge of up to date SATs requirements is desirable but not essential
