A market leading Pharmacutical company are looking for an a Project Planner to provide expertise to for post Candidate Validation to Submission and regulatory approval.

The candidate will be responsible for leading the creation of a project plan, in Microsoft Project (iProject) and for the managing of the R&D project plans.

The candidate will be required to support the project leader in tracking the deliverables, timelines and budget as well as update project tracking documents (iPlan) and communicate any deviation to the Project Leader to facilitate and enable successful team performance.

Deliver project management support to the Project Leaders post Candidate Validation to Submission and regulatory approval.

Project Planners Key Responsibilities:

The project planner will be required to;

  • Lead the creation and management of the R&D project plans by interacting with the Project Leader and Function representatives to ensure the latest information is included in the project plans.
  • Pro-actively update the project plans by interacting with the Project Leader and function representatives to ensure the latest information is included in the iProject planning system.

Support the Project Leader in;

  • Cascade in a timely manner any issues to the project leader that could impact the overall timeline or risk profile of the project (e.g. timeline deviation, budget deviation, risk factors, resource issue).
  • Provide project management support to the Project Leader and Project Teams in term of agenda preparation, preparation of minutes, follow up of actions & other tasks agreed with the Project Leader. Be responsible for the drafting of project documentation (e.g. iPlan, dashboard plan section, …)
  • By delivering the appropriate outputs/analysis e.g. Gantt chart and operational plans ensure their consistency with the objectives and strategy as agreed with the Project Leader. Highlight to the Project Leader issues that impact on the project objectives, deliverables and timings
  • Projects budget preparation and tracking through year
  • To support Project Leaders for the provision of data on the Portfolio
  • Provide oversight on the development projects to proactively identify opportunities, bottlenecks & risks
  • Support the Project Leader in preparation of presentations and other materials for governance bodies and project team meetings

In addition to the primary responsibilities above support iProject by

  • Actively participate in the evolution of the global planning system
  • Actively participate to the drawing up of planning guidelines and processes.
  • Provide updated information for key documents with accurate reporting of dates and activities e.g. R&D dashboards, assumptions for 4 year plan, budget & forecasts

Qualifications & Experience Required:

  • Education: Bachelor Degree in Science in addition to a degree in project Management
  • Experience: 3-5 years in the Pharmaceutical industry and /or CRO in central and /or local project planning (resource allocation)
  • Strong analytical skills for integrating and interpreting interdisciplinary project information; understanding of the drug development process
  • Strong planning and tracking skills, well-organized, focused on results, capable of managing multiple projects with respect to priorities and self-management
  • Ability to combine attention to detail with the larger project perspective
  • Strong technical skills in a planning tool such as OPX2, MSP or others
  • Excellent team working and relationship build skills
