Unique opportunity for a R&D Manager to join a great company based in Northamptonshire. The organisation is professional but relaxed and has won a number of awards for their products. They offer a great challenging role and environment to work in.

One of their products has taken off really well and the reviews for it have been phenomenal. This is one of the main reasons for their recruitment drive and especially for this role of R&D Manager. It's a challenging, rewarding and exciting role that will allow for you to have a voice that will be listened to and you will actually be able to impact the company directly in a positive way.

The salary on offer is up to £55,000 + benefits but it's the role that should sell it!

The person will be heading up the R&D function, with a team reporting into them. This is NOT a hands on role so if you like to get your fingernails dirty, this won't really offer that opportunity. But you will need to come from an R&D (Embedded and / or Electronics / DSP background). Your responsibilities will be managing this small team of engineers, where you need to lead them, allocate time scales, ensure deadlines are met, have open conversations with them.

As R&D Manager, you will need to have a background in Embedded and / or Electronics Engineering. You will have moved into a management / leadership role and will be able to demonstrate that you have good commercial acumen. You may not been an R&D Manager in title at the moment; a Team Leader, Technical Manager, Principal Engineer might be the sort of title you hold. You will have worked with volume electronic products and will be organised. You will need to be 'outgoing' and a people person.
