Principal Software Engineer - Layer 1, DSP, C/C++, wireless - Permanent - Berkshire Due to increasing projects, I have a requirement for a Principal level Software Engineer to get involved in embedded software development for a leading global communications company based in Berkshire. Salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum - Degree educated in electronics engineering or related discipline
- Minimum 7 years commercial experience in a related role
- Embedded Software Design in Assembler, C, C++
- Layer 1 DSP and FPGA development
- Working knowledge of wireless standards (eg. TETRA, GSM, P25, WiMAX)
- Protocol stack development
- Full software development lifecycle experience including test
- Scripting languages such as Perl, Python, TCL
- Strong debugging abilities
Although this role is based in Berkshire, there will be travel opportunities both UK and worldwide.
