One ofLondon's leading hedge funds are looking for a junior systems administrator to work within their systems team. You will be an integral part of the support framework for all of the company's systems.

This is very much a hands-on technical role, and provides a great opportunity for applicants to use a wide range of technologies on a daily basis.

There are ample opportunities for development within the role. Successful applicants will be offered excellent learning experience within the field of systems administration. Juniors are strategically placed alongside more senior members of the team to further their development at all stages.

Ideal candidates are either recent graduates or with some experience within an IT role (6-18 months), although candidates with more experience will also be considered.

The company has high academic hiring standards and prefers degree qualified candidates with a 2:1 degree or better and 3 A-Levels equivalent to 3 B's. Degrees in the Computing or Sciences are advantageous but not essential.

* Windows 7 desktop and Windows 2008 Server

* Server and workstation hardware

* Powershell

* Perl

* Backup infrastructure

* Linux infrastructure

* Networking and major desktop applications - E.G. Microsoft Office.
