Teacher of Mathematics with TLR Responsibilities

A large sports college near Feltham is recruiting for a maths specialist with TLR responsibilities. An exciting place to work and learn, there has been enormous energy created in the last two years in radically improving teaching and learning in order to raise standards and achievement. Under the leadership of a strong SMT, this college is one of the most improved schools in the country. The achievement of students is high, and professional development opportunities for staff are plentiful.

You must have a commitment to the improvement of the curriculum, the standard of teaching, and the results in the department, while delivering engaging and innovative lessons to students. You must have previous experience of additional responsibilities within a department, or looking to progress to the next stage.
Knowledge, Skills & Personal Qualities:
- Qualified Teacher, PGCE or GTP
- Excellent knowledge and understanding of subject area (maths)
- Past experience of department leadership, TLR responsibilities or looking for career progression
- Principles and practices of monitoring, assessment and evaluation
- An ability to lead students in your specialist skills areas
- Strong behavioural management
- Excellent interpersonal skills
