A varied and exciting role has just come up with a leading financial services company in Manchester. This position is focused heavily around SQL Server and involves Database Development using T-SQL, as well as Data Analysis and Analytics using Microsoft Business Intelligence and SAS; training for both of which will be provided. This is a great chance for anyone with strong core SQL skills to learn new exciting technologies. This role is working within a large "analytics team", comprised of several Data Analysts and Analytics Specialists, and a number of MI professionals. They are looking to add an experienced SQL professional to the team who will primarily be tasked with taking responsibility for the teams SQL Server environment, and developing in T-SQL quite heavily for 18 months.

Whilst acting as the lead SQL Developer, the successful candidate will be trained in Data Analysis using SAS and will also get the chance to work closely with the MI team who use the Microsoft BI Stack.

This is a superb role for someone who enjoys working in a varied and challenging position, picking up new technical skills and enjoys liaising closely with key stakeholders in a business to look at the "bigger picture" behind their development work.

Key Skills Required:

SQL Development - using T-SQL
Excellent Communication skills

Desirable Skills:

MI Experience using SQL - SSRS / SSIS / SSAS
Data Analysis using SAS
SQL Support experience
