My client in one of the UK's leading banks based in Bristol has tasked me in finding a Project Manager who is hardworking and can work on tight timelined finance delivery and actively manage the milestones himself.

The following skills and accountabilities will be required:

  • Excellent level of understanding of finance systems such as SAP - gained through a banking enviornment.
  • Proven ability in process improvement and delivering to plan on time.
  • An understanding of Financial Controls activities and relationship between process design and their financial control framework.
  • Expertise in BAU roles in the wider finance function
  • Manage the delivery of projects within your own remit, defining plans and associated resource requirements and ensuring deliverables are on time
  • Engage others to help specify the core requirements for project design, ensuring sign off and engagement from your customer group
  • Provide clear feedback in support of your activities and escalate issues appropriately within the team for support
  • Contribute the development of the agenda for finance change in the division, co-ordinate stakeholder engagement to proposals and successfully deliver programmes through yourself and others
  • Have an ability to challenge and influence across your peer group in both business and finance - ensure the impact of change is understood and managed
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with other finance teams, providing input to discussions, anticipating issues and proactively helping to find solutions in advance of any deadlines
  • Provide a project support role to colleagues within the Change team
  • Champion the development of a change community across the finance team, support the embedding of appropriate change champions, forums, communication
  • Support the creation of a culture of process improvement in the team and proactively identify opportunities to drive greater effectiveness in our wider team
