The Company


My client is a Renewable Wholesale Distributer, selling Solar, products and systems to residential but primarily commercial clients and installers.


The Role


You will be responsible for the coordination of the logistics function within the UK branch and proactively achieving the optimisation, consistency and high quality of all distribution processes. In addition this role will encompass the day to day management of our logistics partners, stock management and liaison with the sales team and warehouse in order to achieve the fulfilment of all orders and returns for our customers.


Responsibilities


• Daily liaison with transport companies and sales team to book and track deliveries. Also responsible for revising all transport invoices and reducing costs where possible.
• Supporting the warehouse team by timely booking in and good out in their system
• In Liaison with the purchasing and material planning team, achieve precise stock management to ensure that all customers orders can be fulfilled.
• Follow up of part fulfilled / open back orders to ensure that these are completed as quickly as possible
• Issuing delivery notes and packing lists ensuring the filing and organisation of all logistics documentation. Liaising with the finance team to ensure all sales processes are accounted of correctly.
• Purchasing of packing material required by the warehouse team
• Liaising with transport insurance companies to set up insurance policies
• Dealing with returns and office suppliers


Requirements


• Logistics, administrative and business training, proven experience in transport industry and in an import/export environment.
• Background in dealing with B2B customers and comfortable working cross-functionally
• PC, MS office and general logistics software usage
