The Organisation:


The Green Recruitment Company is delighted to represent a leading development and infrastructure consultancy in their search for a RAMS Engineer. This is a UK wide consultancy with multiple offices in the EU offering services in Energy, Environment, Geotechnics, Sustainability, Planning & Development, Transport, Waste Management and Water Management. They are looking for a RAMS Engineer to join their growing team in London.


The Role:


The RAMS Engineer will be involved in a range of projects in a multi-disciplinary capacity. The ideal candidate will have a background in the UK rail industry.
As part of the role the RAMS Engineer will;
• Create fault trees, event trees and reliability block diagrams
• Undertake RAMS Engineering activities for clients in the UK rail industry
• Undertake FMECAs of rail assets and systems


Person Specification:


The RAMS Engineer will be a graduate in a relevant discipline (Mechanical/Electrical Engineering) and have experience of working in the rail industry. The RAMS Engineer will have a background in working for a consultancy firm (preferably in a multi-disciplinary capacity) and will be looking to continue their career as a RAMS Engineer.


The RAMS Engineer will need to have;


• Degree-level qualification in electrical or mechanical engineering
• Formal training or supervised work in applying RAMS Engineering methods, tools and techniques
• Proven experience of undertaking FMECA and availability assessments
• Proven experience of involvement in hazard identification / risk assessment workshops
• Experience using Isograph FaultTree+ and Availability Workbench (or AvSim+) tools
• Experience in the rail industry (preferred)
• Ability to communicate and report, in both verbal and written English, to colleagues and clients
