A Teaching Assistant is required to work in a Reception class in a Primary School located in Wollaton, Nottingham.
Randstad Education is the market leader in Nottingham for placing Teachers and Teaching Assistants in temporary and permanent jobs. Our experienced primary team support over 60 local Primary schools with their temporary and permanent staffing needs.
The temporary job is for 5 mornings a week, Monday to Friday. It will start on Monday 2nd September and is initially until October half term. However there is a strong possibility that the role could be extended to the New Year and beyond. It could also lead on to a permanent opportunity.
Whilst the job is working in a predominantly mainstream class of 30 pupils, the role will also involve working with SEN children, particularly autistic children and a visually impaired child. You will also be required to lead small groups of children of all abilities.
The school is a Community school for 360 children aged 4-7 years. The school is committed to striving for excellence in all areas of school life. This vision guides and directs all thinking within the school, and is implicit within their strategic planning. It is proud to be an outward looking school, aware of its social and environmental footprint and is active in raising community aspirations. The school strives to be viewed positively by children, parents and the local community.
The ideal candidate will be an experienced Teaching Assistant. Experience of working with SEN children and particularly visually would be desirable, but by no means essential. Relevant qualifications would also be desirable, but again not essential. It is more important that you share the schools vision and can showcase a positive work ethic.
