This job is no longer available
A great opportunity became available in one of our Ofsted Good schools in the Borough of Camden to join a team of teachers from September 2013.
The School…The Child…
This is a large, two-form entry primary school built in the early 20th century. It has had a nursery, recently extended,
since the 1970s. The school is in the centre of Camden, surrounded by dense housing and two busy roads. Since the last inspection,
the school has acquired the shared use of a substantial area of land adjacent to the school, which has been laid out as a sports area for
the use of the community. The school has grown in number since the last inspection and is now a two-form entry school with 394
pupils. There are 52 full-time places in the nursery. There are 25 teachers in the school. There are 15 classes including two nursery
classes. It is an effective, and rapidly improving school with some good features. It is particularly successful in creating a
harmonious atmosphere in which all pupils are valued, behave well, and have positive attitudes to learning. The Early Years
provision is a strength and provides a firm foundation for the pupils. The pupils progress well from very low starting points.
Progress is good in the Early Years and in Key Stage 1. The school is led and managed effectively by the headteacher and his deputy.
The governing body is developing its role.
The school is looking for an outstanding KS1 teacher to start from September 2013. The knowledge of Foundation Stage Curriculum would be an advantage.
The role is on a long term basis and will result in being permanent for the right candidate.
The matching candidate would have some previous experience from teaching Key Stage 1 pupils in the UK as the knowledge of British Curriculum is essential.
