The Role

The Green Recruitment Company are working with an award winning Energy Consultancy who are looking for Business Development Executives to join their growing team. Based out of the office in Oxford and travelling UK wide to various major client sites- this is an exciting role for an ambitious and enthusiastic energy candidate

Main duties

• Research into potential energy prospects, initiation of meetings and follow through to deal closure
• Ensure sales forecasts and sales stretch targets are achieved Plan account activities to maximise revenue generating opportunities
• Drive product and marketing teams to deliver opportunities to promote through sales partners Formulate and agree product and promotional business plans for key energy partnerships
• Maintain high levels of awareness of market and competitor activity and customer trends
• Responsible for implementation of revenue generating initiatives with partners and managing partners requirements
• Establishing and maintaining strong client relationships through regular close contact account management
• Analysing sales results and assisting in developing sales plans and strategies
• Understand, manage full financial sales breakdown and identify areas for maximising profit

Skills and Qualifications

• Previous experience in the energy markets
• Strong partnership and/or business development/sales experience in a business to business environment
• Previous working exposure to blue-chip organisations
• Proven business development and account management skills
• An excellent negotiator that is able to demonstrate success and experience in managing both large and small account customers
• Proven experience of driving new business development opportunities from initiation through to closure
• Must be an excellent communicator through various channels ie. telephone, face to face, email etc
• Comfortable to meeting with and presenting to all levels of management
• Strong attention to detail, excellent numeracy understanding with strong emphasis on financials
• Be able to quickly identify commercial opportunities for off-line and on-line businesses.
