The Green Recruitment Company is delighted to be representing an integrated property consultancy in their search for an Associate/Director of Energy Planning to be based in Oxford. The Role:

The Associate/Director of Energy Planning will work on a range of multi-disciplinary energy project focusing on all aspects of the renewable energy development market. The role will involve but not be limited to;
• Identify prospects that match the profile of our clients in the carbon, energy, energy efficiency, environmental, sustainability, or clean energy marketplace
• Communicate and interact with business decision makers at all levels to identify needs and requirements as well as market opportunities
• Provide technical guidance on the Energy Services product portfolio in relation to portfolio expansion and market penetration
• Evaluate existing product performance and identify improvements
• Maintain awareness of relevant technology and disseminate knowledge and understanding via a formal communication process
• To take ownership of all elements of the tender response for new business opportunities
• To manage bids within budget, timescale and anticipated success rate; produce management reports including approval documentation bids

Capabilities and Qualifications

The Associate/Director of Energy will need to have;

• Quality experience selling professional services in the sustainability industry, energy industry, environmental industry, commercial clients;
• Experience and knowledge from working within the energy, sustainability or environmental industry is a must.
• Technical understanding of energy efficiency – with an engineering degree
• Senior management experience, preferably at Director level.
• Working with key internal and external stakeholders
• Provide technical advice and support for Supply Chain
• Proven track record of being successful in all elements of a consultative sales role
• Interfacing and presenting to all management levels at Blue Chip companies

Key skills and qualifications include;

• A positive and enthusiastic team player who is qualified to at least Degree level or equivalent and will relish the challenge of working across a number of projects for a wide range of clients.
• A Full UK Driving License
• Literate in all Microsoft Applications
• Numerate, with a good understanding of the energy market
• An understanding of energy generation technology
• An understanding of energy distribution
• A working knowledge of the regulatory framework in the
energy sector
• Have excellent written and oral communication skills;
• Work well within a team
• Flexible, both in the type of work undertaken and the location from which it is delivered.
• Experience of renewable energy technology and carbon accounting are desirable skills, however not essential
• Experience of working in a consultancy environment and/or experience of managing the interface with the customer are also desirable personal skills but not essential
