The Organisation:

The Green Recruitment Company is delighted to be representing one of the UK’s largest multidisciplinary consultancy with offices all over the in their search for a consultant Arboriculturalist to be based in their Kent office. The organization provides arboricultural services on a wide range of projects in a multidisciplinary capacity.

The Role:

The role is a fixed term contract covering a member of the Arboricultural team. Initially for 10 months, the contract may be extended or even lead to a permanent position. The Arboriculturalist will provide a range of arboricultural work which includes project management, surveying and work delivery. As part of the role the Arboriculturalist will;
• Undertake consultancy on: hazard trees, development sites, veteran trees, new planting schemes and woodland management projects
• Prepare reports on surveys
• Oversee delivery of arboriculture projects
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and to cost
• Co-ordinate employees and/or sub-contractors in delivery of projects and liaise with clients to deliver work to the required standard
• Produce quotations for elements of new work

Person Specification:

The Arboriculturalist will need to be driven, self-motivated and highly adaptable. The Arboriculturalist will need to have;
• Experience of delivering arboricultural services and projects
• AA Technicians Certificate in Arboriculture or equivalent
• A full UK driving licence
• A licensed user for Quantified Tree Risk Assessment (preferred)
• Experience in historic landscapes (non-essential)
• Computer literacy (using software packages including Microsoft office and mapping packages)
• Working knowledge of British Standard 5837:2012
• Competency in tree identification, inspection and management
• AutoCAD, ArborCAD and GIS software is preferable but not essential
