A Secondary School in Reading are seeking a well-qualified Teacher of Physical Education to lead on delivery across our new all-through school. The successful candidate will be a creative individual, excited by the challenge of designing a Physical Education curriculum from the ground up. He or she will be a problem solver, looking for opportunities to craft engaging explorations and discoveries from any aspect of school life. We are looking for an outstanding teacher, able to enthuse students across phases, teaching primarily in the Senior school, but also delivering lessons and helping to guide the Physical Education curriculum accross the school. Our commitment to the co-curricular life of the school through our extended day provision makes this a key appointment; for the right candidate we can offer other positions of responsibility, including pastoral roles.
The position opens in September 2013 with classes in Years 7-11. At the heart of our vision is a school which nurtures children to achieve great things, challenges them to apply their learning in our extended day activities and inspires them to engage in a rigorous, academic curriculum creatively.
