Financial Accounting Manager - Leading Charity - Based in London - £45,000 to £55,000
An instantly recognisable Charity is looking to recruit a Financial Accounting Manager to lead a team in ensuring the annual reports and statutory accounts are prepared in accordance will accounting standards and the Charities SORP.
The role offers a chance to lead and develop a team within an environment that can give progressive opportunities down a number of routes within the Charity. In this position you will be building relationships not only within the finance team but also with the Fundraising teams, Supporter Services and with external charity finance professionals.
Key outputs of the role include the delivery of the month end timetable including monthly balance sheet reconciliations, production of the statutory accounts for the Group, production and submission of all direct and indirect tax returns, preparation of key reports for management including weekly cash flow reporting, monthly investment reporting, fixed asset reporting and balance sheet review commentary and provide effective internal control and compliance.
We are looking for a qualified CCAB accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIPFA, ICAS and Chartered Accountants Ireland) with experience of working within the finance function of a complex organisation. You will have up to date knowledge of Charity Accounting (SORP), UK accounting standards, direct taxes, VAT and other applicable legislation. Your CV must be able to demonstrate the production of consolidated Statutory Accounts and the ability to manage a team of staff to deliver results.
