The Organisation:


The Green Recruitment Company is delighted to be representing a leading developer based in London in their search for a consultant Arboriculturalist. The organization is looking for a Senior Arboricultural Consultant to lead a small team of Arboriculturalists.


The Role:


The Arboricultural Manager will provide a range of arboricultural work which includes project management, surveying and work delivery. As part of the role the Arboricultural Manager will;


• Undertake consultancy on: hazard trees, development sites, veteran trees, new planting schemes and woodland management projects
• Develop strategies for how to approach and prepare for work projects
• Provide technical input and assistance
• Prepare reports on surveys
• Plan and implement tree surveys in an urban environment
• Oversee delivery of arboriculture projects
• Manage a team and supervise junior members of staff
• Ensure projects are delivered on time and to cost
• Co-ordinate employees and/or sub-contractors in delivery of projects and liaise with clients to deliver work to the required standard
• Produce quotations for elements of new work
• Maintain a healthy tree stock


Person Specification:


The Arboricultural Manager will need to be driven, self-motivated and highly adaptable. The Arboricultural Manager will need to have;
• Experience of delivering arboricultural services and projects
• Experience of leading a team or demonstrated similar managerial qualities
• AA Technicians Certificate in Arboriculture or equivalent
• A full UK driving licence
• A licensed user for Quantified Tree Risk Assessment (preferred)
• Experience in historic landscapes (non-essential)
• Computer literacy (using software packages including Microsoft office and mapping packages)
• Working knowledge of British Standard 5837:2012
• Competency in tree identification, inspection and management
• AutoCAD, ArborCAD and GIS software is preferable but not essential
