We have an opportunity for a Permanent Subject Leader of Maths to start to work within a highly successful and ambitious secondary school based in North Kent to start in September 2013.

We are looking to appoint an excellent practitioner who is a dynamic and innovative specialist Mathematics Teacher to lead our established, committed and successful team of five specialist mathematics teachers plus one Specialist Leader of education as we move forward in transforming learning.

Mathematics is taught to all levels of ability including AS and A2 in the Sixth Form, is part of our Specialist School Status, and benefits from our new state of the art facilities. You will be innovative and imaginative and create challenging and engaging lessons whilst having a clear understanding of AFL and APP.

In addition to the accountability for mathematics, you will be part of the Business & Enterprise cluster of subjects (the Business & Enterprise Domain encompasses ICT and our school specialism Business focused subjects, delivering work related learning, work experience, enterprise and financial capability and active citizenship).

The successful candidate will join the school at an exciting time as we move our curriculum forward.

Accountability/Skills:
- Ability to motivate and engage colleagues and students at all levels.

- Principles and practices of effective learning and teaching.

- Knowledge and understanding of subject area(s).

- Principles and practices of monitoring, assessment and evaluation.

- The innovative application of information and communications technologies to learning and teaching in subject areas.
