Secondary English Specialist Teacher to work with vulnerable children.
Our Client is a large, national, charitable organisation who provides specialist education to vulnerable adults and children, with the goal of providing excellent learning and care to a range of ages. This particular advertised role is for an English Specialist, who will provide learning to vulnerable secondary school children in an environment which founds itself on the 'Every Child Matters' ethos. The position is to be on a permanent basis teaching key stages 3 & 4, working 5 days a week full time in the County Durham area, with you providing lessons in English to small groups of children.
The Children are of Secondary School age, therefore range from 11-16 years old, who are with the client due to their current and previous vulnerable backgrounds, therefore a focus is present on addressing their mixed Educational Needs.
It is a position that would be perfect for an English Specialist who has well grounded experience with working with vulnerable children, or a mainstream English teacher with a great interest in working alongside children with difficult and challenging backgrounds.
