QA Tester with Process Improvement experience to work in Guildford. This role is for a testing specialist within the IT QA Team. The QA Team ensures the alignment and adherence of our development process complies with maintaining our CMMI accreditation.

The key responsibilities of the QA Team cover:
• Process Improvement
• Process Compliance (Audit and Metrics reporting)
• Project/ SD Process Support

This role covers all aspects of the QA role with a focus on testing.

Main Duties will include:
Test Process Improvement:
• Review standards and practices for testing within IT and develop the ACDM Testing
Process areas with input from the wider testing community.
• Work with the relevant IT and business areas to support improvements in the effectiveness and efficiency of UAT and System Testing.

- Test Process Audit:
• Involvement in QA process adherence audits, with a particular focus on the aspects that impact the quality of delivery and success of the testing phases.

- Test Support (General):
• Provide test consultancy to support project delivery.
• Support and train in the use of Quality Centre, our standard tool for managing testing across all testing phases (business and IT).
• Administer the licencing for Quality Centre and Quick Test Professional.
• Work with the ACIS Test Automation team to support the automation service offering to projects.
• Experience working in a system development environment is required.
• Previously held positions as Test Lead/ Project Test Manager or Test Consultant either in a UAT or System Testing Environment. Ideally with experience of managing at least 3 or 4 testers.
• Familiarity with test metrics and reporting to various levels of business and IT management.
• Knowledge and experience of test management software, preferably Quality Centre as well as automated testing and automation test tools.
• Experience of review and quality assuring testing deliverables and activities.
• Understanding of the CMMI software maturity model (Desirable).
• Process Improvement.
