We require a teacher of RE in a strong humanities department in a south Manchester secondary school to cover the end of a maternity leave.
The RE curriculum taught in the Autumn Term is as follows.
Year 7 Introduction to World Religions, Judaism, Sikhism
Year 8 Hinduism, Justice, Islam.
Year 9 GCSE Rights and Responsibilities, Marriage and family life, Crime and Punishment
Year 10 GCSE Matters of Life and Death, Peace and Conflict, Religion and Community Cohesion
Year 11 GCSE Environment, Medical Ethics, Believing In God, Revision
Clearly all candidates must be either NQT or have Qualified Teacher Status and recent experience teaching in a UK secondary school.
This school is part of a federation of schools and local businesses who work together to improve the educational outcomes for pupils and families in Wythenshawe. This includes a secondary school Trust partnership as well as two primary schools. The school is run as a fully inclusive school. The school also run degree courses for adults in our sixth form centre in partnership with Skills solutions.
