The Job

The Client is a large College in the Tyne & Wear region, looking for a Mechanical Engineering Lecturer to provide quality learning to students studying Engineering at the college, with qualifications covering BTEC, EMTA/NVQ, City & Guilds as well as Level 1 - 4 in the Engineering Curriculum. The Engineering Department is highly regarded by employers across the region, with industry standard equipment being available for students learning, therefore a high level of experience in the field of Engineering and teaching of the subject is expected. A candidate would be expected to work fully alongside the College, through their teaching and marking of assessments to promoting equal opportunity strategies and curriculum development.

The Student

The students will be studying in a range of part-time and full-time courses within the department, with ages ranging from 16 years and above, who are studying a range of course levels across the Engineering Curriculum, with some looking to go onto further study in the field or into the industry itself.
