This SEN School in Buckinghamshire is a vibrant and diverse residential school for children and young people with severe learning disabilities and communication difficulties. Situated near Aylesbury, they encourage each other to achieve all they can in a safe and healthy environment.
They exist to provide children and young people aged 10-19 with a happy, secure and autism friendly environment where they can be challenged to achieve in all areas of their lives. They provide an individual approach to supporting each student, encouraging them to learn to make real choices in their lives. They keep their expectations high so that all students achieve their maximum potential.
They are looking for an innovative and dedicated ICT Teacher to teach KS3 and 4 and this job will also involve work with Post 16. The students have ASD or SLD and they have individual communication needs. The students' ability levels vary and they have Individual Education Plans. Class sizes are 6-8 students. You must be flexible and adaptable to a variety of different situations. This will include being able to cope with challenging behavior effectively, remain calm under pressure and maintain a positive approach to your role.

The successful candidate:
- Has QTS
- Has specialism in ICT
- Has experience teaching pupils with ASD and/or SLD
- Knowledge of TEACCH, Signalong and Team-Teach would be a distinct advantage
- Is an outstanding classroom teacher
- Has excellent subject knowledge of ICT and knowledge of National Curriculum P levels
