ICT Learning Support Technician
Salary Grade D2
The successful applicant will be self-motivated and innovative and would be required to assist with the day to day operations of the ICT department. Experience of working with Windows 7 and Office 2007 or 2010 in a technical support role is essential. Duties will include providing 1st and 2nd Line support to Staff and Students, Managing and updating Consumable levels, providing assistance with technical aspects of lessons and other technical duties as required. General IT hardware repairs and installation of workstations will be required therefore occasional manual work will be involved.
ICT Core skills to Level 3 are essential; however industry qualifications such as CompTIA A+/N+, CCNA or MCP would be an advantage.
Our school has a state of the art network environment, utilising Cisco switching hardware and the latest in virtualisation technologies from VMWare, this would be an ideal opportunity for a candidate wishing to expand upon their IT support skills.
This post is a full time post for 37 hours per week. Annual leave entitlement will be 22 days and after 5 years continuous local government service increase to 27 days. All holidays are to be taken in school closure time, exceptional circumstances may be considered by the Head Teacher.
