We are working with a large Housing Organisation in Oldham who are currently embarking on delivering a partnership finance service and are looking for someone who can support the Rent & Service Charge Manager within a busy, developing team. You will support an 11 strong team in providing effective rent and service charge accounting services within agreed timescales and service level agreements.

With experience of preparation and review of financial information, analysing and reporting on results, use of Oracle Financials (or an equivalent financial system), the ability to prioritise and allocate varied workloads and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service are essential to this role.

Responsibilities & Outcomes

Key Responsibilities:
* Provide effective rent and service charge accounting services to local Housing Management Teams and the Centre of Excellence for Home Ownership across the Partnership within agreed timescales and service level agreements
* Ensure accurate and timely annual budgets, monthly accounts and financial statements are produced for all service charges; liaising with operational staff as required
* Monitor actual performance of rents and service charges against budget, analysing variances and taking corrective action; escalating issues as appropriate
* Ensure Home Ownership inter-company accounts reconciled in accordance with require timescales and outstanding items resolved promptly
* Support operational staff by providing training, advice and guidance; responding to queries promptly and effectively in accordance with service agreements
* Liaise with internal and external auditors and resolve all audit queries effectively and within timescales required

Key Outcomes:
* Accurate and timely service charge budgets and annual financial statements produced and customers notified in legislative timescales
* Accurate and timely rent and service charge reports produced for local Housing Management Team and the Centre of Excellence for Home Ownership Services
* Home Ownership inter-company accounts reconciled in accordance with require timescales
* Variances to budget identified and corrective action taken with issues escalated as appropriate
* Training and support provided to operational staff
* Internal and external audit queries dealt with effectively and on time

Skills/Experience

Essential:
* Proven customer service experience
* Good attention to detail with ability to prioritise and manage a varied workload to meet agreed deadlines
* Proven experience of preparing management accounts
* Experience of reviewing and analysing financial information and reporting on results
* Experience of using Oracle Financials or equivalent finance system
* Excellent oral and written communications
* Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office

Desirable:
* Experience of rent and service charge applications and systems
* Knowledge of rent and service charge regulation and differing tenure types
* Experience of working in the social housing sector
