Teaching Assistants to work in a support role at a secondary school in Wythenshawe.

This school is part of a federation of schools and local businesses who work together to improve the educational outcomes for pupils and families in Wythenshawe. This includes a secondary school Trust partnership as well as two primary schools. The school is run a fully inclusive school.The school are an 11 -19 high school with a thriving and successful sixth form.
The students require support for various different reasons, either emotional , behavioural or curriculum support. The school have a high proportion of students who are in care homes or have disrupted home lives. Wythenshaw is an area of social deprivation so experience of motivating reluctant learners would be useful.
We welcome applications from experienced teaching assistants and qualified teaching assistants . We also consider applications from candidates with any of the following experience within the last 3 months whether paid or voluntary :-
Coordinating workshops (such as drama, art, outdoor workshops etc)
Working with children as part of church/community/mosque groups
Working in after school clubs/ breakfast clubs/ holiday clubs in the UK
Working as a carer in a children's home
Youth club leader/ Brownies/Guides/ Sunday school teacher
The school will also consider applications from newly qualified teachers keen to find regular work in a secondary school.
