Part Time - Term time only

Our academy is seeking to appoint an SEN Administrator to be responsible for ensuring that the day to day legal requirements of the Annual and Interim Statement reviews are met. To be responsible for the comprehensive and confidential administrative support for all Inclusion departments - SEN, SALT and LINC and to provide information from and to develop and maintain the SIMS SENCo data base, reports and manual records.

  • setting up an Annual Review timetable for all students with Statements of SEN
  • arranging Annual and Interim review meetings
  • requesting, collating and presenting data from staff for these meetings
  • liaising with, requesting and collating reports from outside agencies and parents
  • communicating and corresponding with LEAs, parents, staff and outside agencies
  • completing and distributing relevant documentation from review meetings
  • obtaining a working knowledge of the SEN Code of Practice and keeping up to date with developments
  • to maintain SEN student records, electronically and manually
  • to highlight any student who is vulnerable, is on the Code of Practice, is a behaviour concern, has family issues, has a CAF or child protection issues and inform the relevant member of staff and contact the primary school for further information if deemed necessary
  • to extract relevant SEN/Child Protection information from the students' school files and pass on to the relevant staff member
  • to archive 'leavers' files at the end of the school year
  • be aware of and comply with policies and procedures relating to safeguarding, health, safety and security, confidentiality and data protection, reporting all concerns to the appropriate person
