We are seeking an experienced instructor of Construction to work at The Isle of Sheppey Academy. The role is immediate and likely to go to Christmas and beyond. Monday to Friday, this will be a full time supply role and you will be expected to undertake supported planning and marking and be involved in the school community as much as possible and expected as a professional in your field.
They are proud of all the students and want them to be proud of their Academy. They expect all the students to contribute to the life of the Academy and wider community. They will be supported and challenged academically, professionally and socially, to develop the skills they need for further education, careers and life.
From January 2014, the Isle of Sheppey Academy will officially become a member of the global organisation Oasis. This will enable the Academy to provide even more unique opportunities for young people and the wider community. They will have the benefit of working in partnership with, and learning from, schools across different continents as well as those locally and nationally.
The Isle of Sheppey Academy will provide lifelong learning opportunities for the whole community. They will grow and flourish, guided by their mission, their values and their vision.
As a student at the Academy, you join the 'Family' and families stick together and support each other. Sometimes this means they have to exercise 'tough love', as a parent would, to get the best out of the students. Sometimes they just need praise, a guiding hand or a gentle prod in the right direction. Most importantly, each person is treated as an individual. Inclusion and personalised education is their commitment. Learning at the Academy is active, challenging, hands on, engaging and fun. Students here know that their success and wellbeing is the Academies number one priority
