Harrington Starr is currently working with one of the city's leading financial trading environments. My client is seeking a Service Desk analyst to join their growing London based team. This team cover a broad range of technologies including Active Directory, Trade Applications, Market Data feeds and many others.

My client a technically focused financial institutions and this role is sitting on the service desk dealing with all incoming calls at 1st line level.

As the IT Service Desk Analyst, you will be working across a broad range of technology and liaising across multiple areas of the business. Your day to day activities and responsibilities will include the following:

  • The logging and tracking of incidents, problems and requests
  • Carry out initial incident diagnostics
  • To take ownership of resolve all incidents and requests that are not assigned to 2nd/3rd line support team
  • You will communicate with the business and highlight any major service outages
  • Develop and maintain strong working relationships
  • Maintain and update various systems

  • Excellent communication skills are essential
  • Must be able to prioritise and organise work effectively
