The school is part of a well respected academy cluster in Haringey, the federation really focuses its attention on helping young people raise attainment. Staff enrichment and training is a part of the culture here and a lot is invested into improving best practice within the academies, there is cross school training and staff are encouraged to learn from each other.
This Ofsted 'good' graded school are focused on raising attainment and are looking for hardworking teaching assistants who will work towards the same goal. The school is very active and there is always something going on, the atmosphere is very vibrant and would suit somebody who is looking to become part of the school community.
The position is to start in after half term and will be for one term initially with the opportunity for a long-term position for a successful candidate. The position is 5 days a week and will be during normal school hours, you will also be expected to attend team meetings when necessary and also assist in planning and preparing lessons for the next day with the class teachers.
The school are looking for an experienced candidate who is confident in the classroom, and able to manage young people with challenging behaviour. You would be working both 1:1 with the pupils within the classroom setting and supporting groups of children outside the classroom who may need extra numeracy or literacy support, all classes are mixed ability.
Successful candidates must:
- Be educated to degree level
- Have previous experience of working in a mainstream school in the UK
- Have exemplary communication skills
