The Client:


The Green Recruitment Company is working with a leading technical consultancy in their search for a Senior Acoustic Consultant to be based in their Yorkshire office. The Senior Acoustic Consultant will be part of the environmental engineering team that works on a range of multi-disciplinary projects on a range of scales and magnitudes. These projects are concerned with commercial properties aimed at improving the environmental quality of the commercial environment.


The Role:


The Senior Acoustic Consultant will assist in the delivery of a variety of projects. These projects will be focused on commercial properties. The Senior Acoustic Consultant will support and lead the team in delivery solutions to clients and will be responsible for providing technical knowledge and support to projects. Working within a team within the environmental division, the Senior Acoustic Consultant will be responsible for the technical delivery of projects and ensuring high quality report writing.


Key Responsibilities:


The key responsibilities for the Senior Acoustic Consultant include;

• Delivering acoustic technical work for a range of projects
• Developing long term relationships with clients
• Understand the client’s business needs
• Supervise and mentor junior members of the team
• Act as project lead on acoustic projects
• Undertake noise and vibration survey work in support of projects
• Write acoustic reports
• Advise clients and teams on the impacts from developments, construction and transport activities
• Support higher management with business development
• Contribute to EIA reports


Person Specification:


The Senior Acoustic Consultant will need to have;

• BSc./MSc. In a relevant discipline
• Continued professional development
• Membership of a professional organisation (IOA, IEMA etc.)
• Experience in environmental consultancy (c. 5 year + preferred)
• Knowledge of acoustic legislation, policy and standards at EU and UK level
• Experience in undertaking environmental noise assessments
• Knowledge of construction noise assessments
• Valid UK driving licence
