Further information

Be part of something really exciting that could shape the future of a nation's economy! The Malaysian government have funded a new project, promoting the teaching on English language to their primary and secondary school pupils. Consequently, we are seeking TEFL/CELTA certified instructors to support this.

This is a great and exciting project to be part of. You will be based in Malaysia and assigned to a cluster of schools where you will work in partnership with the English teachers at the schools to improve the delivery of English. This will be a varied role where you will experience a number of different teaching environments. You will be supporting the teachers with gathering their resources, planning, preparation and observing the delivery of their lessons. You will be expected to offer constructive criticism on the lessons, helping the teachers develop their skills. You will also be required to help the teachers set up a way of assessment to check pupils' progress and all the associated administration.

As a teacher mentor you will be based remotely so will be provided with a car (or travel allowance for the non-drivers) phone and laptop. Although on line support is readily available from the management, you will need to be confident at sourcing materials and with your admin and record keeping. You will need to be self-motivated and obviously have excellent communication skills.

For your hard work you will be rewarded with a fantastic standard of living, your flights there are paid for, medical insurance, car, laptop, phone, excellent salary package which will allow you to utilise your 35 days holiday to travel the Far East if you wish!

To apply for the role, you must be educated to degree level, hold either a TEFL/CELTA certificate and have 2 years post qualification experience of teaching ESL to both secondary and primary aged pupils.
