Award winning privately owned Independent Stock Brokers seeking Web Developer / Designer (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) to help build the next generation of retail + corporate broking web applications for the open market trading of stocks.

As the Web Developer / Designer (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) your hybrid role will be to get stuck into the various concurrent design and development projects ranging from completing designing and building the web applications used internally by brokers providing access to account management and investment tracking, used extenally by retail clients accessible through the company website and additionally with giving the whole intranet a makeover.

Split between design work and hands on web programming, you will be building responsive, interactive and fast web pages that keep traffic on the site. You will also take part in document and content design that will be pushed onto the website and also will externally delivered content.

Key requirements for the Web Developer / Designer;

  • Web application development with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript
  • Keen eye for design and experience of using creative suite tools such as photoshop and illustrator.
  • Database interaction knowledge is beneficial
  • Seeking a large challenge and be prepared to pick up new skills outside of previous experience

Working in an AGILE/Kanban methodology and working on multiple projects simultaneuosly, you will be collaborating with server side developers, picking up the knowledge of how to have architecture that works well with high volume transactional websites. You will also be given the opportunity to pick up valuable financial services industry knowledge that will significantly affect your long term career opportunities in a positive way.
