International Trading Software Specialist - London Based with European Travel

£50,000 to £65,000 + Benefits


A leading Exchange and Investment Firm based in the City is seeking a Java Developer who wants to be an Implementation Consultant (Financial Messaging) to join their Middle to Back Office Investment Exchange teams.

The company are a multi-lateral trading facility and focus on the European markets of multiple assets including equity and derivative trading. The company aims to differentiate itself by producing tailored and more integrated systems between exchange and investment bank/ asset manager / hedge fund than their competitors and such, are hiring additional technical and business staff to push their systems further ahead.

As such this role will require you to be highly technical with the use of Java a business facing role where you will need to speak with wholly business focussed staff both internal and external to the firm.

The role of Java Implementation Consultant (Financial Messaging) will involve you being part of the professional services team responsible for the building of new solutions on the Exchange platform, working with pre-sale to assist technically in demos, the documentation of system features and essentially being a customer focussed SQL developer within an equity, swaps and derivatives focussed business.


The Java Implementation Consultant will have the following skills;

  • Java development skills (essential)
  • SQL Server skills (highly desirable)
  • HTML or JavaScript (highly desirable)
  • XML (essential)
  • Client facing experience (essential)
  • Trading Systems processing experience (desirable)
  • Energy or Commodities (desirable)

This role can take a client facing developer into an implementation role where you will be trained to become a financial product specialist within and by one of the most prestigious financial firms in the world today.
