Support Engineer-(1st Line, Support, Trading, Financial Services, Surrey)

A Support Engineer is required to join a rapidly growing Financial Services technology business based in Guildford. The Support Engineer will get the chance to work with leading Financial Services organisations across London and Europe and liaise with some highly credible technology specialists within the market. My client produces a market leading system within the foreign exchange space that utilises to connect investment banks and brokerages by integrating with other mainstream trading systems.

As an established but growing business, this is a fantastic opportunity for a Support Engineer with relevant experience working within an IT support position to gain a foothold into the lucrative Financial Services industry with a company that is forecasting impressive growth over the years to come. My client has grown impressively over the past 2 years and is very keen to grow organically, so opportunities to move into a project based or implementation role exist in the near future for the successful Support Engineer.

The role of the Support Engineer-(1st Line, Support, Trading, Financial Services, London) will include:

  • · Troubleshooting hardware and software issues
  • · Implementation, configuration and management of in-house and partner software
  • · Installing and upgrading in-house and partner software
  • · Providing helpdesk services to internal and external users
  • · Working with developers to resolve support issues and help to make improvements
  • · Working with networking infrastructure, internal/external backups and disaster recovery
  • · Using JIRA, Wiki and Wen Help Desk solutions during day to day tasks

    In order to be considered for this role, the following is absolutely essential:

  • · At least 12 months experience working within an IT support experience
  • · Degree level educations in an arts of scientific subject
  • · Experience working with Microsoft products and Windows operating system
  • · Experience working within financial services ideal
  • · Genuine interest in trading or spread betting a plus
  • This is an immediate need and interviews can happen as soon as possible.
