Business Analyst - Trader surveillance, rogue trading, unauthorised trading, compliance

A leading provider in financial software is looking for a business analyst to work with their Trader Surveillance product used to flag rogue trading / unauthorised trading activity. This product is implemented at investment banks and other financial institutions to support Head of Trading desk and compliance professionals in monitoring, preventing and reacting to potential rogue trading / unauthorised trading activity.

This is a fantastic chance to join a global brand and one that is having huge successes in this highly competitive market segment. You will work with top tier investment banks and brokerages to understand the challenges they face in successfully monitoring trader activity.

As the Business Analyst (Trader surveillance, rogue trading, unauthorised trading, compliance) your responsibilities will include:

  • Working with major financial institutions to gathering information surrounding their challenges in monitoring rogue trading / unauthorised trading activity
  • Building functional specification documents to help design a solution to meet the client requirements
  • Advise clients on how the software can benefits their business typically engaging with Head of Compliance, Head of Trading, head of IT and Operations management

To be considered for the role of Business Analyst (Trader surveillance, rogue trading, unauthorised trading, compliance) you must have the following skills and experience:

  • Extensive & in-depth knowledge of the Unauthorised Trading / Rogue Trading business area including why it is important and how it affects the investment banking world
  • A strong business analysis skillset including requirements gathering, document production, client facing communication & workflow analysis
  • Knowledge of the full trade lifecycle
  • Senior engagement within the Investment Banking industry
  • Some exposure to Front Office environments & an ability to communicate effectively across IT, Front office / Trading, Risk & Operations
