A globally recognised derivatives trading house is looking for an IT Infrastructure Engineer (Desktop, Linux, SQL, Hardware, Software, Testing, Trade Support, Cisco, Graduate) to work as part of their IT support team in West London.

This is an excellent opportunity for an Infrastructure Engineer to join a company that is going through an exciting period of building out the technology required to automate the trading process and gain a competitive advantage. There are also great opportunities to be gained from the role as there will be chances to gain exposure to the business side as well as the whole IT environment, including writing requirements, testing, configuration and more. As the company continues to branch out, you will be able to work other asset classes as and when they take them on.

The successful IT Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for a wide range of technical tasks ranging from hardware issues to software and telecoms systems, supporting them on a predominantly first or second-line level, helping and solving complex problems. They will be working with a range of technologies including Cisco switches, firewalls and routers, SQL server, Linux, VMware, Active Directory and Windows 2008. As well as that, they will be brought in and involved closely with on-going product design, development and testing among other things.

To be considered for the position of IT Infrastructure Engineer (Desktop, Linux, SQL, Hardware, Software, Testing, Trade Support, Cisco, Graduate) you must have:

  • Knowledge of MS desktop environment
  • SQL or other database experience
  • Knowledge of Linux
  • Hardwar and Software experience
  • Cisco Networking experience
  • Knowledge of Server environements
  • Graduate in relevant degree at 2:1 or above
  • Enjoy explaining technical issues to non-technical people
  • Passion for technology
  • Interest in the business side and technical side of trading technology
