Role: Research Development Manager x2
Type: 6 Month Fixed Term Contract
Salary: £40,000 - £48,500 per annum

Morgan Hunt are recruiting on behalf of our client, a London based Education Organisation is recruiting for two research development Managers in London. The purpose of the role is to support the institution and its academic and research staff in achieving high quality research. This includes;
*the development of research strategy and policy in response to University needs and external environment changes
*facilitating the development of high quality applications for research funding
*providing the financial and contractual management of research and consultancy projects
*supporting Schools and PIs to prepare, submit and then manage successful research proposals
*addressing and supporting research infrastructure needs in collaboration with other areas of the University, including both coordinating and contributing to the delivery of the University's Research and Enterprise Development and Training Programme; and
*ensuring that the requirements of the Research Excellence Framework (REF) and other internal and external reporting needs for research are met

The Research Development Managers play a key role within the Office in providing enhanced support for the submission of high quality research proposals.

Experience/Skills Required;
*Excellent knowledge of the UK Academic Infrastructure, particularly in relation to research and research funding
*Good understanding of the strategic context in which research operates
*Excellent interpersonal skills that combine the ability to provide authoritative advice with tact, diplomacy and sensitivity
