£40,000 to £65,000

Start-up Financial Application Vendor seeking Java Developer / Software Engineer (Concurrency, Multi-threading) to be part of the rapid growth, building sell side data and trading applications defining a change in the market place.

As the Java Developer / Software Engineer (Concurrency, Multi-threading) you will be joining a high profile team with the business that build the core business application that enables high volumes of trading utilising vast amounts of transaction data from the FS market place. Working closely to understand the business and asset classes, particularly equities, derivatives and fixed income.

Key requirements;

  • 4+ years Java development experience (Essential)
  • Strong knowledge of multi-threaded/ concurrent applications (High Beneficial)
  • AGILE / TDD development methodology (Required)
  • Additional experience with Maven, Git, Echache, Terracotta etc (Beneficial)
  • Financial messaging experience is beneficial; FIX protocol, FIX engineer (Beneficial)
