Future Thinker? Alternate Visionary? Technology Hotshot?

If that's you the the Travis Perkins Group IT Department wants to hear from you!

We are looking for visionaries with a passion for IT to join the TP Graduate Programme, where you'll find yourself on a career journey where the sky really is the limit. You'll have the opportunity to help shape the future of a FTSE100 business that is one of the largest suppliers to the UK's building and construction industry.

As our IT Graduate you'll be working in a fast paced, modern IT Department. We're award winning, future thinking and put software professionalisms at the top of our agenda. We've adopted SAFe, the Scaled Agile Framework, introducing both the Agile and Lean ways of working throughout our entire IT Department, and within our Engineering Teams have taken on XP practices such as Test Driven Development and Pair Programming as common practice.

We strive to deliver technology solutions that not only meet our extensive business needs, but are innovative and forward thinking enabling us to stay ahead of the curve.   To that end, on your journey, you will be given the opportunity to work within the other functions of our business; these seats will include HR, Supply Chain, Finance, Commercial, Marketing and Property. This will not only provide you with a well rounded view of our business, but is an excellent opportunity to gain a sound understanding and appreciation of the differing business systems in the workplace so you can deliver the future thinking IT solutions that will really drive our company, and your career, forward.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for graduates with a passion for IT, who understand the bigger picture and most importantly, are team players.   Ideally you will have an IT related degree, however we are open to applicants who can demonstrate their knowledge of computer technologies.

What does that mean?

You must love everything technical! You must understand that the technology solution you've delivered, however perfect to you, might not be perfect for the business. You absolutely must be happy working with others, and be proactive in supporting your colleagues. You might not have studied a computer science related degree, but if you spend all your spare time learning about computer hardware/software we want to know about it.

The TP Grad Scheme...

Don't just build computer programs, Build the Future!
