SEN Science Teacher - Southend-On-Sea Area - Full Time ongoing

Our client College, based in the Southend area, are looking for a qualified teacher of Science, ideally with previous SEN experience. You should have experience of working with challenging behaviour and have the interpersonal skills needed to effectively communicate with staff and students. The position will be to teach small classes of years 5, 6 and 7.

This newly formed college is a community formed from their different provisions for children and young people with behavioural, social and emotional difficulties. These provisions include a BESD school for 11-16 year olds, an all age Pupil Referral Unit, two Nurture Bases and other school based nurture provision, a Virtual School for vulnerable young people and Behaviour support.
The College has a wide catchment area, encompassing pupils from a variety of backgrounds and with varying levels of difficulties and ability. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of differentiation within the classroom, and also an emphasis on behaviour management and inclusive learning.
