How you can expect to spend your day:
Think of this as a cross between editor, investigative journalist, private eye, and librarian.
As Insight Executive you will be responsible for finding information about bands, their marketing activity, their agencies, their marketing competitors, (and indeed marketing people as individuals) that will be useful to us in our prospecting activity. This will include:
•Spending the majority of your time combing sources of Marketing related information, online and offline, to identify news that might be useful to our new business consultants, and our clients.
•Being responsible for identifying, and increasingly interpreting and processing, these news items so that they can be delivered in a short, succinct and useful format. Creating and organising content for the weekly 'Insight' summary.
•Attending Marketing trade shows from time to time and reporting back to the internal team with debriefs on themes and the content of presentations
•Responding to ad hoc requests for marketing insight to support prospecting campaigns, by furnishing the consultants with useful information.
•Attending our Groucho Club social events for Brand Managers and Marketing Managers.
•Working with SV and other Senior Team members to develop the Insight offering into a mobile & tablet delivered product.
You will also, going forward, play a big part in the next phase of development of our client's insight function. This includes:
•Developing the product into a format which our client can sell on a subscription basis to non-clients as well as existing clients.
•working with our internal consultants to equip them to identify relevant content for their own clients.
The ideal candidate’s personality and qualifications:
•Degree educated, highly literate and articulate.
•You are outgoing, inquisitive and open minded about your experience!
•A strong candidate who is switched on and would be able to take on a variety of different tasks.
•The ideal candidate would be a sociable, opinionated, enthusiastic and intelligent individual with a good sense of humour.
•A strong candidate with an entrepreneurial spirit who isn’t afraid to get stuck in!
