Major global brand, an automotive manufacturer of high end luxury and performance cars, very strong prestigious brand seeks a Material Planning Manager for all spare parts.

This is an exciting and prestigious position as Material Planning Manager for someone to manage the international supply solution - to uphold availability, control working capital and maintaining supplier performance and activity for this luxury brand. This position will work closely in the After Sales department.

Manage the material planning for Aftersales parts to maintain the highest availability for current models and derivatives, considering investment and risk to obsolescence, and guide the organisation and it’s dealer / users network to increase after sales retention and customer satisfaction.

This is a highly visible role in the organisation and is likely to lead to a fast track sales career within this prestigious company whose brand is known and admired worldwide.

The required experience and skills for this position as Material Planning Manager are as follows:

• Ideally with experience dealing with Run Out Strategy, able to define strategy, own the entire Run Out process and management of spare parts for legacy vehicles including purchasing, storage and distribution.
• Able to gain commitment from suppliers to support Aftersales by supplying legacy parts EOP to ensure availability into the future.
• Ability to forecast Run Out parts to support storage and warehousing processes and facilities
• Manage inventory investment as Material Planning Manager
• Resolve prompt backorder resolutions
• Ability to use the SAP MRP system evaluate and forecast demand
• Degree level Business or Engineering qualification or Prince 2 would be ideal but relevant industry experience would be equally valued.
• Knowledge and operational experience in the spare parts business would be important
• Details experience and in-depth knowledge of Material Planning and stock control process as Material Planning Specialist is essential
• Experience in Parts Run Out/ Change Management essential
• Strong IT skills including Ms Office and SAP essential
• Some fluency in the German language would be very useful but not essential

Location: Within one hour’s commute of Winchester, West Sussex is a requirement. A full generous relocation package is offered for the right candidate

Full UK driving licence essential
