The school,
The school is a small, happy caring Roman Catholic infants school in North Lambeth where they understand that a child?s first school can be a daunting experience so aim to make parents and children feel as secure and comfortable as possible. The school aims for children to develop their knowledge, skills and understanding by engaging in their creative International Primary Curriculum. This curriculum has been designed to ensure rigorous learning by making all learning exciting, active and meaningful for the children, whilst developing and gradually come to understand the Gospel values and the way they influence all our lives. At their most recent Ofsted inspection, the extent to which pupils feel safe, pupils? behaviour and the extent of pupils? spiritual, moral, social and cultural development were all judged to be outstanding. Much of this success was due to the hard-working committed staff, and the strong working relationship they have with the supportive parents and carers and so the school is looking for someone who can fit into this ethos.

The child?
Most pupils who enter the school with skill levels well below those expected for their age. Children make rapid progress in the Early Years Foundation Stage and good progress in Key Stage 1. The number of EAL and FSM pupils are above national averages, whilst SEN numbers are below the national average. Behaviour in the school is described as exemplary by Ofsted and children are noted to be eager to learn and enjoy doing so. The right teacher will be someone who can fully prepare pupils for the next stage of their education career.
