A temporary vacancy for a Teacher of ICT required on a full time immediate start basis. The School
This large community school catering to children from the Crumpsall, Cheetham Hill and Blackley area of north Manchester has long been recognised in the area for providing excellent support and motivation suited to their students' needs. The school has a primary school attached to allow all siblings to attend these state of the art facilities together.The school is requiring improvement from its last Ofsted inspection and is now working in partnership with DFE, driving forward to achieve 'good' in the near future.
The school has easy access from the Metrolink and M60 motorway.
The students who attend come from predominantly large families of south Asian descent ( 95%) . The most common religion amongst students is Islam and many students speak Urdu or Gujarati as a first language. ICT , creative media, business and computing are very popular options at the school and 'tech savvy' ICT teachers will enjoy working with innovative and entrepreneurial students and staff in a well equipped department.
The post will be teaching ICT at both KS3 & KS4
Experience of teaching both key stages is essential
The role is due to start with immediate effect and will last approximately 12 months
This position is offered on a full time basis
All applicants must have completed a PGCE Secondary qualification or Bachelor of Education providing Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Applications from FE qualified instructors or teachers with QTLS, unqualified teachers or overseas qualified teachers not familiar with the GCSE curriculum will not be considered.
NQTs will be supported in their induction.
Salary range: £475-£700 per week (pre 12 week agency worker regulations, dependent on references and experience)
