A leading Further Education College based in London is seeking an Interim Head of Facilities and Estates. Reporting the Director of Finance and Resources you will be responsible for the Premises and Facilities Manager.

Key duties include:
• To ensure a professional, customer focused Estates Service is provided to managers, staff and students within the College.
• To manage the planning, budgeting, accounting, tendering, contractor lists and vetting of the Estates Service.
• To ensure that there is an effective Help Desk system in place to support the estates services
• To ensure compliance with statutory and College Health and Safety procedures & to attend the main Health and Safety Committee.
• To manage fire procedures within the College including the on going maintenance of the fire alarm system and fire equipment to ensure that the College meets its statutory responsibilities.
• To project manage the College works where required and act in a client capacity for major projects.

The successful candidates must have a relevant building or Facilities Management qualifications. You must also have supervisory experience of building projects of varying complexity within occupied buildings and be fully conversed with all statutory requirements and relevant Health and Safety legislation, Fire and Building Regulations.
